Music

Written, recorded, and produced by Ashley Gilland and released June 15, 2023, Clover Days is full of "synthetic art pop ballads with ~psychedelic funk~, orchestras, and found sounds from my pandemic clover fields."

Eve of Indigo and Dawn of Blue build a connected atmosphere over nightfall, at times ominous, and others celebratory of the coming day. This short multi-movement work was Ashley's first composition for orchestral instruments.

Robin's Egg Blue

Robin's Egg Blue is Ashley's most recent EP, released to streaming services in 2020. Torn between soft, woodland bedroom folk pop and vibrant electronic meteor showers, the songs are a mix of acoustic ukulele and psychedelic synths. Malá Strana, inspired by her 2019 international choir tour in Prague, is entirely instrumental. Other songs, like Cabin Fever, are much more minimalist and express themes of mental health struggles.

Each song from the EP has an associated music video on YouTube in attempt to replicate the atmospheres of her music. Video production was an early interest of Ashley's, offering her an opportunity to play with visual moods and storytelling.

The music video for Cabin Fever is published in Defunkt Magazine.

Wandering, Wondering (pre-college demos)

Released to Bandcamp in March 2020, this EP is a collection of songs Ashley wrote and recorded between ages 13-18. Each represents a different time in her life as she developed new production techniques in writing or recording for each one.

Each song (except for Blackberries) is also available as a lyric video on YouTube.
