"I tell stories through mixed media embroidery art. Before 2020, I would experiment with mediums on paper in an art journal, but expanding to textiles opened a new world for me with upcycled fabrics, beads, watercolor paint, needle felting, and more. My art often echoes children’s illustration with colorful woodland creatures that represent whimsical surrealist concepts. My work often overlaps or coincides with writing and music I create. My newest artistic journey has been with ceramics, in which I love small, organic shapes, intricate carvings, and overlapping glazes."
