Ashley Gilland is a writer, musician, and multimedia artist from Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated with her BA in Writing from Drury University with minors in Music and Philosophy and is currently pursuing her MFA at UW Bothell in Seattle. Ashley is an emerging poet, recently published in So to Speak, Peatsmoke, Thimble, and whiptail, among others.

Ashley's visual art explores mixed media embroidery and fiber art, textile assemblage, ceramics, and text-based collage. Her whimsical creations have been included in various exhibitions including "With Every Fiber" and "Assemblage & Collage: Reuse, Recycle" in Springfield, MO.

She has composed, recorded, and produced two EPs, Robin's Egg Blue and Clover Days. She has also composed for two short films, Biograph and North Day. Her orchestral compositions "Eve of Indigo" and "Dawn of Blue" premiered at Drury University's Composers' Recital in May, 2022.
