Ashley Gilland is a writer, musician, and multimedia artist from Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated with her BA in Writing with minors in Music and Philosophy from Drury University and is currently pursuing her MFA at UW Bothell in Seattle.
Her small business, PocketSnailArt, explores mixed media embroidery art and ceramics. Her whimsical creations have been included in various exhibitions including "With Every Fiber" and "Assemblage & Collage: Reuse, Recycle" in Springfield, MO. Ashley is an emerging poet, recently published in Dishsoap Quarterly, Quail Bell Magazine, Haven Speculative, and The Waxed Lemon, among others. She has composed, recorded, and produced two EPs, Robin's Egg Blue and Clover Days. She has also composed for two short films, Biograph and North Day. Her orchestral pieces "Eve of Indigo" and "Dawn of Blue" premiered at Drury University's Composers' Recital in May, 2022.
